Power Chord Chart

These chords sound especially well with a distortion or an overdriven electric guitar, where most other chords like major, minor or seventh are too noisy.

In guitar tabs and song books power chords are usually indicated by a digit 5 like so: C5, A5, F5...

In this chart I included two versions for each chord, located in different parts on the fingerboard.

The numbers in the pink rectangles designate the fret from which you place the fingers.
