Fret numbering on fingerboard

Fret is an metal stripe inserted into fingerboard. But when it comes to guitar lessons, tablatures,

exrcising and etc... word fret actually means the space between two metal strips, not metal strip itself

Each fret of guitar also has number, it makes very easy to write and read guitar music  by means of

tablatures (shortly tabs) instead of classical sheet music 1st one is the nearest to the headstock.

(if you see 0 fret numer in guitar tab it means the  note lays on open string so you shouldn't push any fret)

Fretboard numbering

Round signs in the middle of 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 21th, 24th frets are made to help you

orientate around the neck. On some instruments they can look as half a fret triangles.
