                                           Roland Micro Cube

Roland Mobile Battery Amp Guitar Amp - Front. Compared to the Les Paul guitar size

The sound was taken with Les Paul Epiphone Std guitar by conntecting Aux recording output directly to the recording interface

Price: around 150$.

Micro Cube is an awesome guitar amp for traveling musicians and street artists.

This device can be powered by 6 AA battery set or AC adapter.Good batteries

or rechargeable AA sized accumulators provide about 20 hours of work!

Despite the amp has only 2 watts of power, it sounds really loud on high volume.

Moreover the Cube has built in guitar effect processor, A, A flat, G  tone generator

for guitar tuning, input for mp3 player or any other sound device to jam with.

Aux output for connecting micro cube with recording interface or another amp.

Effect processor has only control knobs, no difficult menus and multiple button clicks.

The processor includes: amp-modeler, chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, delay,

and reverb.

It can use only one effect such as flanger, chorus, tremolo or phaser with distortion.

Delay and reverb effects can be used independently from other effects but only delay or

only reverb in the same time.

If you like Carlos Santana or Brain May smooth guitar sound you'll probably like micro

cube amp modeler. Combining with some portion of reverb or delay it sounds really good.

If you like heavily distorted sound the micro cube won't deliver it.

It does have heavy distortion amp modeler but in my opinion it feels kinda unnatural.

I discovered that combining any good distortion pedal or effect processor with cube's

JC clean amp emulator can provide much better heavy metal sounding.

MicroCube also has an acoustic guitar emulator, as well as jazz amp modeler and a few

vintage amp emulators for blues and old rock playing.

Also there's a preset for microphone usage on the board. So it's possible to sing along

with delay, chorus, flanger effects.

Overall Roland M. Cube gives a very good impression as all-in-one mobile amplifier, combining

everything you need on the road, and a find for street musicians or guys who like to play

outdoor.
