How to Do Palm Mute (right hand muting method)

In order to perform palm mute guitar effect put the heel of your right hand palm slightly pressing against the strings near where they go into the bridge.

Stronger strings are pressed - more mute, non-sustained sound comes out.

In guitar tabs palm muted notes are marked as P.M. letters over the lines.

In simple notepad tabs palm mute also can be marked as "x" symbol before the muted note.
